On 21 February 2024, within the framework of preparation for the 2024 UN Climate Change Conference, Sustainable Development and Corporate Impact (SD&CI) Committee organized "Stakeholders' Dialogue for Climate Change" series of six events. This initiative is designed to foster dialogue, awareness and collaboration among businesses in Azerbaijan in preparation for the upcoming UNCCC COP 29 event, to be held in Azerbaijan in November 2024.
The meeting was opened with the welcome speech from Mrs. Fidan Tofidi, Deputy Chairperson of SD&CI Committee and Ms. Ayan Najaf, COP29 Operating Company Head of Sustainability Division and Public Relations Officer.
Ilkin Haji, Executive Director of Sustainera Solutions shared insights on the key highlights from COP28 and what the business community can expect from COP29.
Our associates from Inogen Alliance, Mr. Amr Abdel-Azez of Integral Consult (Egypt), and Mr. Brett Ogilvie of Tonkin+Taylor Group (New Zealand), shared their insightful presentation on the potential changes COP could bring to the private sector.
